The Action Hub gives Admins and HR Managers a centralized view of actions across your organization, so you can monitor pending and completed items and handle supported actions directly from one place.
The Action Hub includes the following items:
- Tasks
- Membership tasks
- Time Off requests
- Document signing
- Performance reviews
- Surveys
Note: The Action Hub is available to Admins and HR Managers. For custom roles, access is currently supported for roles based on the HR Manager role. If an existing custom role does not have access to the Action Hub, recreate it by cloning the HR Manager role and adjust its permissions as needed.
To use the Action Hub:
1. Sign in to your TalentHR account as an Admin or an HR Manager, and go to For action from the main menu.
2. You will land on the Action hub tab. Review the actions displayed in the table.
For each action, TalentHR can display information such as:
- Type: The type of action.
- Trigger date: When the action was triggered.
- Action: The task, request, review, survey, or other action that needs attention.
- Status: For example, Pending, Completed, or Rejected.
- Assignee: The employee responsible for the action.
- Related user: The employee the action relates to.
- Due date: The deadline for the action, where applicable.
Past due dates are highlighted in red, making overdue actions easier to identify.
To find and filter actions:
1. Use the Period menu above the table to choose which actions to display based on their Trigger date.
You can choose:
- Last 30 days
- Last 6 months
- Last 12 months
- This year
- Custom period
2. Use the Search field to find specific actions.
3. Click the Filter icon to narrow down the results.
You can filter by:
A. Type
- Task
- Membership task
- Time off
- Document signing
- Performance
- Survey
B. Status
- Pending
- Completed
- Rejected
C. Org units
- Locations
- Divisions
- Departments
You can combine multiple filters to focus on the actions you need.
To remove the filters you have selected, click Reset from the Filters panel.
Note: Your selected Action Hub filters remain applied as you work with the page. Use Reset whenever you want to return to an unfiltered view.
To complete an individual action:
Available actions depend on the type of item you are viewing.
Where an item can be handled directly from the Action Hub, hover over its row to display the available action.
For example:
- For a pending Time Off request, you can Approve or Reject the request.
- For a Task, you can Complete it.
Some action types may not provide an action that can be completed on another employee's behalf (e.g., Document signing requests, or Performance reviews). In these cases, the Action Hub still lets you monitor the item's status without displaying an action button.
To perform Mass actions:
You can select multiple compatible items and perform the same action on all of them at once.
1. Select the checkbox next to each item you want to work with.
2. Review the Mass actions displayed above the table.
The available Mass actions depend on all of the items you have selected.
For example:
A. If you select multiple Tasks that can all be completed, Complete is displayed.
B. If you select multiple pending Time Off requests, Approve and Reject are displayed.
C. If you select different types of actions that do not share an available action, no Mass action is displayed.
This means that selecting additional items can change the Mass actions available to you.
For example, if Complete is available for a group of selected Tasks and you then select an item that cannot be completed using that action, Complete is no longer available for the combined selection.
Note: Mass actions only display actions that are available for every selected item. They do not combine all of the different actions available across the selected rows.
To review your own actions:
The My actions menu remains available below the Action Hub.
From here, you can open your own pending/completed action items, including:
- Tasks
- Time off requests
- Performance reviews
- Surveys
- Document signing
Use the Action Hub when you need an organization-wide overview as an Admin or HR Manager, and the individual My actions sections when you want to work with actions assigned to you.
