When you first create your TalentHR domain, the working days are set to Monday-Friday by default. Only working days count towards time off requests. Time off budgets are not consumable on non-working days and public holidays. You can change your organization’s working days at any time.
| Note: The working days defined at the organization level act as the default schedule for all employees. These can also be overridden for individual employees if needed. |
To configure your organization’s working days:
1. Sign in to your TalentHR account as an Admin or an HR Manager, and go to Settings (1).
2. Click Domain settings (2).
3. Scroll down to the Working days section, and select your organization's working days (3).
4. Click Save (4).
Override working days for a specific employee
In addition to defining working days at the organization level, TalentHR also allows you to override working days for individual employees. This can be useful for employees who follow a different schedule than the default one configured for your organization (for example part-time staff or employees with alternative workweeks).
To configure custom working days for a specific employee:
1. Go to People (1) and open the employee’s profile.
2. Select the Job (2) tab.
3. Next to the Employment status section, click Working days (3).
4. In the window that opens, enable the Enable custom working days (4) toggle.
5. From the list of working days (based on the organization’s default work days), select or deselect the days (5) that apply to this employee.
6. Click Save (6).
Once enabled, the selected days will override the organization’s default working days for that employee.
| Note: At this time, custom working days cannot be set in bulk or imported via the employee import tool. If needed, you can configure the default working days for the entire organization first, and then manually adjust individual employees’ schedules following the steps above. |
