To add a goal to an employee profile:
1. Sign in to your TalentHR account as an Admin or HR Manager, and go to People (1).
| Note: By default, users with the Employee role can also create, edit, share or delete goals for their team and themselves. Learn how to update role permissions here. |
2. Open the profile of the employee you want to assign a goal to and go to the Performance (2) tab.
3. Select Goals (3).
4. Click + Add goal (4).
5. In the Add goal window, enter a Title (5) for the goal.
6. Set a Due date (6).
7. Add a Description (7) to give context or expected outcomes.
8. (Optional) Add any Milestones (8) to break the goal into actionable steps. Use the toggle to enable or disable milestones.
9. (Optional) Under Share with, click + Add (9) to select employees who should be able to see the goal (e.g. the manager, team lead, etc.).
10. Click Save (10).
Once added, goals appear in the Goals section of the employee's Performance tab.
TalentHR sends a notification:
- To the employee when a goal is assigned.
- To each person the goal is shared with.
- When the goal expires i.e., the goal is still incomplete after its due date.
To complete, update or delete a goal:
Go to the employee's Performance > Goals tab.
- Click the Progress (1) icon to mark milestones or the entire goal as completed. The completion percentage updates automatically.
- Click the Edit (2) icon (pencil) to update the title, due date, description, milestones, or shared visibility.
- Click the Trash (3) icon to delete the goal permanently.
