TalentHR's time tracking feature enables employees to log their working hours, providing you with real-time insights into your teams’ activities. As an Admin or HR manager, you can review and manage these time entries to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

To access and review your employee’s time entries:
1. Navigate to Time tracking (1) from the left-hand menu.
2. Click on the Time entries (2) tab.
Here, you'll see a list of all recorded time entries (including active ones), with information such as start and end times, duration, and any associated time tags.
Note: You can filter entries by date range (3), employee, or time tag to narrow down your view. Click on the Filter (4) button to manually filter by department, division, and/or time tag. |
3. Manually start or end a time entry for any employee by clicking on the relevant buttons (5).
Note: When geolocation is enabled, and if the employee allows the system to locate them once they start the timer, then you can click on their location (1) to view exactly where they are logged in from. |
Managing time entries
Within the Time entries tab, you can perform the following actions:
- Edit an entry: If you need to correct or update a time entry, click on the pencil icon (1) next to the entry in question and make the necessary changes, e.g. edit the time tag, and/or the start and end date and time stamps. Remember to save your changes.
- Delete an entry: To remove an incorrect or duplicate entry, click the delete option (2) next to it. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
- Export entries: For reporting or record-keeping purposes, you can export the time entries by clicking on the export button (3).
Monitoring active sessions
To see which employees are currently clocked in:
1. Navigate to Time tracking (1) from the left-hand menu.
2. Click on the Working now (2) tab.
This view displays all employees who are actively clocked in, along with their start times and any selected time tags. Use the available filters (3) to narrow down results.
Note: Click Refresh (4) at any time to refresh the results and make sure you’re seeing accurate time tracking for active entries. This real-time overview helps you monitor ongoing activities and manage workloads effectively. |
Tips for effective time tracking
- Regular reviews: Periodically check the Time entries tab to ensure all entries are accurate and complete.
- Communicate with employees: Encourage employees to use appropriate time tags and to clock in/out promptly.
- Utilize exports: Use the export function to analyze time data and identify trends or areas for improvement.
By effectively managing your employees' time entries, you can maintain accurate records and gain valuable insights into your teams’ productivity.
